Chapter 4: Proteins – Sample Activity

Context

Isiolo has weaned her 1 year old child and yet she works far from her home. Becky her maid usually feeds the child with soda and biscuits since they are convenient. The child also likes this diet because it is sweet. After 6 months, Isiolo who had been too busy started noticing that the baby had developed a big stomach, brown hair, swollen face and feet with sunken eyes. The child’s appetite had also reduced a lot.
