Gerald Businge

Gerald Businge is a multi-award winning multimedia journalist, trainer (learning facilitator), researcher, entrepreneur and communications specialist. He has designed, led and participated in training, research and impact evaluation activities for top orgnaiations including UNICEF, World Bank, Hague Academy, FAWE, NEPAD, GiZ, Enabel, Carnegie Corporation of New York, DW Akademie, Internews Europe, GWPEA, UNDP and Government of Uganda among others. He is a member of the Digital Development Network, a consortium of academicians and practitioners let by Sheffield University, UK to study the impact of ICTs on development.Businge studied Journalism and Communication at Makerere University (2003), and Multimedia Journalism and entrepreneurship at the University of California, Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism (2010), as well as multimedia training from the Radio Netherlands Training Centre. He is the co-founder of Ultimate Multimedia Consult group that offers value added news, information and knowledge products and services and runs several new media ventures including this Businge teaches New Media Journalism and Multimedia production techniques at Makerere University’s Department of Journalism and Communication.
