a. Adverbs of manner

These tell how an action is done.

They are formed by adding ‘ly’ to an adjective.

Examples

Sweet – sweetly

Quiet – quietly

Hurry – hurriedly

Soft – softly

Quick – quickly

Loud – loudly

Slow – slowly
