Sample activity of integration – Poetry

People sometimes write poems to express feelings. Teenagers often have to deal with difficult situations and struggle to express their unhappiness, fear, anxiety, frustration or anger at these situations.

1. Think of or make up a difficult issue or problem a teenager may have had to solve. Write a poem to express your feelings. Your poem must:

  • consist of two stanzas
  • have a rhythm have an obvious rhyme scheme
  • include at least one figure of speech
  • use punctuation correctly
  • stick to the topic of expressing feelings
