Sample activity of integration – Celebration

Imagine you have just graduated. You have always wanted a big celebrations with hundreds of guests to mark the day. Your plan was to hire a professional DJ, caterers and a big hall. However, recently you have become aware that many graduates end up jobless and penniless soon after their graduation parties. You have heard leaders in your community advise against lavish graduation parties, especially against taking out loans to pay for it. You decide to have a modest party instead.

  1. Write down your plans for the party. Describe the nature of the celebration you plan to have. Include how you intend saving money on music, food and the venue.
  2. Write an informal invitation to your best friend.
  3. Write a formal invitation to your lecturers. Include important details such as venue, date and time.
  4. Write a speech in which you thank your parents for their support during your studies.
