I don’t like salesishness, so let’s be clear about two things:
-
I’m trying to get this site to where it can support itself by referral
juju -
I only recommend things I think are phenomenal
That being said, I host this site with
Linode. It’s a full VPS, and it is by far the best host I’ve used. And I’ve used
many [mediatemple, bluehost, dreamhost, slicehost, a dozen others].
Linode
is wicked fast, they quickly support the latest kernels, they have excellent
build and recovery mechanisms, great support (though I’ve only had to use
the email a couple of times for builds), they have an iPhone app, and I’ve
never once had an issue with downtime or performance.
If you’re in the market, take a serious look at
Linode. The links to them in this post include
a referral code
that will help me out if you sign up using it, and it won’t cost you any
extra.
