LUGANDA INTRODUCTION

REASONS WHY WE STUDY LUGANDA

1. We study Luganda so that we can communicate easily with people especially those that do not understand any other language apart from Luganda

2. We study Luganda so that we preserve culture. For any language spoken there is culture embedded in it for example: When a person is greeting someone in Itesot she is supposed to kneel. The kneeling gesture therefore shows that is cultural among the Itesots.

3. One can get a bob as a result of studying Luganda for example; Radio presenter, teacher, social worker, journalist etc.

4. By study Luganda we can help the young generating and those that do not know the language so that it does not die out.

5. Studying Luganda can help us in keeping written records through writing books eg novels, poetry plays

6. It helps to improve our vocabulary and speaking it well.

7. Studying Luganda can help us to learn to write it well.
